Overview

Perfect for kicking off the season, this ski mountaineering weekend is designed to help you get back into action after the long summer break. The Aosta Valley is the perfect setting, especially early in the season, thanks to its favorable conditions and diverse range of routes.

In particular, Valtournenche stands out for its many options: trails suited to every skill level and varying lengths to match your preferences.

Two days to rediscover your rhythm, immerse yourself in nature, and enjoy the magic of winter’s return.

Itinerary

We reach the small village of Cheneil, put on our skis, and set off for our first outing. Once we leave the sparse forest, we enter the valleys with a beautiful view. After reaching the Col des Fontaines, we remove the skins and go down like missiles!

Weather permitting, we will take the lifts up to Plateau Rosa and from there aim for the summit of Breithorn, at 4165 meters. The descent will be thrilling, starting off-piste and then continuing along the slopes, bringing us down to Cervinia, 2000 meters lower.

In case of strong winds or cold temperatures at altitude, the valley offers several rewarding alternatives, such as the Becca di Trecare, Punta Falinere, or Petit Tourmalin. Each of these offers equally spectacular routes and views.
