Ski Mountaineering Weekend on Monte Cevedale

Overview

For ski touring enthusiasts, Monte Cevedale is one of the most sought-after destinations in the Eastern Alps.

 

The journey begins with an overnight stay at the Zuffalhütte, an ideal starting point to enjoy alpine hospitality before the ascent. The route winds through a stunning glacial environment, offering spectacular views of Ortles, Monte Zebrù, and Gran Zebrù, which seem almost within reach.

 

The summit rewards with an exciting descent along the glacier, featuring wide-open spaces and often excellent snow, making the experience truly unforgettable.

Itinerary

Meeting in Val Martello in the morning for a gear check. Then we ascend to Marteller Hütte, where we will spend the night. In the afternoon, we will go on a short tour and have a brief avalanche rescue training with transceiver, shovel, and probe.

After breakfast, we ascend to Monte Cevedale and, after enjoying the view, we descend the glacier. An exciting and panoramic descent that will take us back to Val Martello for the return.

The equipment marked with (*) can be provided by the guide if you do not have it, at a cost of 10 euros per item.

  • Accommodation in the refuge and additional expenses
  • Lifts or lift systems
  • Rental of technical equipment (harness, ice axe, crampons, helmet)
  • Everything not specified in "Included in the fee"
